CarDealDrop ("CarDealDrop," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at https://cardealdrop.com and the related notification service (the "Service"). CarDealDrop is a paid service that aggregates publicly available used-car listings around the clock and sends you a push notification the moment a listing matching your filters becomes available.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name. If you register with email and password, your password is stored only in hashed form — we never keep it in plain text. If you use "Continue with Google," we receive your email address, name, and Google account ID from Google (see Section 4).

Alert and filter settings

We store the car alerts you create so we can run them for you. These may include make, model, price range, year, mileage, city, and search radius.

Payment information

Payments are processed by our payment processor, Polar.sh. We do not store your full card or bank details — Polar does that on their secure systems. We store only a customer/subscription reference and your current plan and billing status (for example, whether your trial or subscription is active).

Push notification tokens

To send you browser and phone push notifications, we store the push subscription token your device or browser provides when you enable notifications.

Technical and usage data

We collect basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type. We use this to operate the Service, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Run your car alerts and match them against publicly available used-car listings;
• Send you the push notifications you signed up for;
• Process your subscription payments through Polar.sh;
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
• Keep the Service secure and prevent abuse or fraud;
• Send you account emails, such as a welcome message, payment confirmations, and plan renewal or expiry reminders.

4. Signing In with Google

If you choose "Continue with Google," Google shares your email address, name, and Google account ID with us so we can create or sign you into your CarDealDrop account. We only request the basic profile and email scopes — nothing more.

CarDealDrop's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use this data only to provide and improve the Service, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising.

5. What We Don't Do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers we rely on to run CarDealDrop — namely our payment processor (Polar.sh), our email delivery provider, and our hosting provider. These providers may only process your information to perform services for us.

6. Third-party listing sources

CarDealDrop matches your filters against publicly available used-car listings on your behalf. You do not connect any third-party account to use the Service, and we do not access any private account data.

7. Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can update most of your details from within your account, or you can request access, correction, or deletion at any time by emailing us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in as you move through the site. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

10. Children

CarDealDrop is intended for adults. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
